Exhibition to showcase photos and films of ASEAN Community

BÌNH PHƯỚC — Photos and documentary films on the countries, people, environmental protection and climate change in ASEAN community will be on display at an exhibition at the Cultural Centre of the southern province of Bình Phước from December 15-17.

The exhibition is held by the Ministry of Information and Communications in co-ordination with the People's Committee of Bình Phước Province, as part of the Government’s Programme of Action to promote ASEAN and celebration of the establishment of the ASEAN Community and benefits brought by the ASEAN Community.

It features about 300 photos and nearly 60 films by ASEAN artists, most of which were admitted to the finals or even awarded in the Festival of Photos - Reportages and Documentary Films organised by the Ministry of Information and Communications in recent years.

To celebrate the year that Việt Nam's work as Chair of ASEAN 2020, the organising committee introduces to viewers a new theme 'ASEAN in our hearts'. This theme is composed of excellent photographs that 10 countries in the ASEAN Community have selected. 

According to the organising committee, the exhibits show not only high quality but also variable information about ASEAN, giving visitors a closer, authentic view of the customs, social life, and problems in the area.

It will help people in the region understand better and join hands to build an ASEAN Community of solidarity, friendship, co-operation, and development.

After the exhibition, all the photos and films will be awarded to the People's Committee of Bình Phước Province by the Ministry of Information and Communications to keep promoting the ASEAN Community. VNS
