HA NOI — Huynh Khanh Ly, Masterchef France 2015, will visit Ha Noi to introduce and promote Vietnamese and French cuisines under the framework of Francophonie Day, which is on March 20.
Ly will be in Ha Noi from March 17 to 23 on the invitation of the French Embassy in Viet Nam. On March 18, Ly will participate in Francophone Day celebrations being held at the Ha Noi National University and instruct the audience on how to make some French dishes.
On March 21, Ly along with chef Alain Dutournier will cook for a dinner party at the French Embassy in Viet Nam, which will include Vietnamese alumni who studied in France and students who want to pursue culinary, tourism or wine studies.
Huynh Khanh Ly, whose parents are Vietnamese, was born in 1991 in France. Ly pursued law as a major; however, she had always been passionate about cooking and is a well-known chef in France. Ly won Masterchef France 2015 and pursued the study of restaurant management at Paul Bocuse Institute, France. In 2016, she released a cookbook featuring 45 recipes. — VNS
