BINH DINH — The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the central province of Binh Dinh has launched the competition of relievo carving on the mountain cliffs on Nguyen Tat Thanh and Vo Nguyen Giap streets in Quy Nhon City.

Particularly, the relievo on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street will depict the image of Emperor Quang Trung (1753-1792) leading the operating troops, while the one on Vo Nguyen Giap Street will portray the image of Lac Long Quan and Au Co, whose children are believed to be the ancestors of Viet Nam.

The eligible contestants are local sculptors and the deadline for the submission of their designs is the end of September. — VNS
