HA NOI — Binh Duong will meet Ha Noi in the final of the National U21 Football Championships on Saturday.
The match will be held at Tu Do Stadium in Hue.
Ha Noi are very confident and eager to meet Binh Duong after beating them 2-1 in the qualifying round.
Binh Duong beat defending champions Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) 4-1 in a penalty shootout in the semi-finals on Thursday.
Faced with a young, fast-moving team, Binh Duong played on the counter-attack and managed to stifle their opponents.
Binh Duong goalie Thanh Tuan was awarded man of the match for his performance.
The team from the capital beat Viettel 1-0 in the other semi-final.
The event attracted the participation of 18 teams to compete in the annual event. They were divided into four groups and competed in a round robin format. The best seven teams reached the final round alongside hosts Thua Thien - Hue.
