HA NOI — Cao Bang beat Thai Son Nam by three goals to one at the National HDBank Futsal Championship held in Da Nang yesterday.
After receiving a great pass from Minh Tri, Phi Tien opened the scoring for Cao Bang just a few minutes after kick-off. Moments later, Tri, who was a member of Viet Nam futsal team in the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016, doubled the score to 2-0.
Before the first half closed, Van Vu narrowed the gap for Thai Son Nam to 1-2.
After the break, Thai Son Nam pressed for an equaliser but this left holes at the back and Cao Bang secured victory with a third goal.
This score went someway to ease Cao Bang’s pain, who were beaten by Thai Son Nam twice last season.
With this loss, Thai Son Nam rank second out of 10 teams with seven points. Hai Phuong Nam-Gia Dinh University top the table with nine points, while Sai Gon FC are third with seven points. — VNS
