HA NOI — Jutatip Manneephan won the first stage of the Binh Duong international women’s cycling tournament Biwase Cup yesterday.
Manneephan, who won the gold medal in the Asian Games in 2014 in the road race category, finished first in the 66km stage around Thu Dau Mot City.
The Thai player temporarily took the yellow jersey and green jersey award.
The event drew 138 cyclists from nine foreign clubs and nine local crews. They will cover 841km, passing through Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong and other cities and provinces. Today, cyclists will compete in the second stage from Dong Nai to Lam Dong, a trip of 93km. — VNS
