HA NOI — Midfielder Vu Ngoc Thinh said goodbye to V.League club Hai Phong. He will now play for HCM City.
Thinh was a key player of the northern port city’s team. During the four years he played for Hai Phong, he helped the team win the National Cup in 2014 and become the runners-up of the National Premier League in 2016.
With his ideal stature and good tactics, Thinh is expected to help his new team achieve the target of finishing among the top five teams of the league this year.
The 1.81m tall Thinh was called to the national U23 team in 2015, in which Viet Nam ranked third in the Southeast Asian Games. The 25-year-old player was also called to the senior national team in 2016. — VNS
