HA NOI — Nguyen Nhat Nam of Domesco Dong Thap won the overall yellow jersey of Return to the Countryside cycling tournament which wrapped up on Saturday.
Nam became the tour leader with the best time of 20:16.53 after 10 stages, followed by Quach Tien Dung of the Military Zone 7 and Pham Minh Triet of Bike Life Da Nang.
Nam’s teammate Phan Hoang Thai won the green jersey as the best sprinter with 106 points.
In the team rankings, Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang won the title with a total time of 60:54.01. Bike Life Dong Nai and Go for Gold were the runners-up.
The event attracted nearly 70 cyclists from eight domestic teams and one foreign team, competing in 11 stages, covering 939km, through 11 provinces and cities of the Mekong Delta, including Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang. — VNS
