YÊN BÁI — The National Vovinam (Vietnamese traditional martial arts) Top Teams Championships started in the northern mountainous province of Yên Bái on Tuesday.
The tournament marked the return of Vovinam after the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is an opportunity for athletes to prepare for the SEA Games 31 in Việt Nam next year.
This year, there were 287 martial artists from 30 teams nationwide taking part.
Players will compete for 48 sets of medals in 26 combat and 22 performance events.
The tournament will last until June 27. — VNS
