HA NOI — Midfielder Le Van Xuan of the Viet Nam national U19 team was injured in a match against Mexico at the Suwon JS Cup 2018 in South Korea on Wednesday.
According to coach Hoang Anh Tuan, Xuan needs at least four weeks to recover from his injury.
Xuan’s back was hurt seriously after a defender from the Mexican team kneed his back. Xuan was sent to the hospital immediately.
Head Coach of Viet Nam national senior football team Park Hang-seo attended the game and said he would ask his friends to ensure that Xuan is taken care of as best as possible.
Viet Nam lost to Mexico 0-4. Viet Nam will face Morocco today at 6pm, and South Korea on April 22 at 4pm. — VNS
