HA NOI — VBA, the first professional basketball league in Viet Nam, is aiming for an impressive comeback in terms of magnitude and intensity in its fourth season.

After the stunning performance of heritage players — athletes who grew up outside of Viet Nam but have Vietnamese ancestry — such as Khoa Tran, Justin Young, Tam Dinh and Chris Dierker, VBA continues to commit to their mission of providing all players of Vietnamese descent with the opportunity to showcase their talent and passion for basketball, as well as offering them a great chance for further career development in their homeland – Viet Nam.

The year 2018 has witnessed a phenomenal season of VBA: breathtaking games, thrilling performance from all six teams, and a well-deserved championship for Cantho Catfish.

Moreover, we also saw the unbelievable plays from all the athletes, especially from the heritage players, who are not only becoming the symbols of their team, but also sports idols and great sources of inspiration amongst the youth.

Following the momentum, the next VBA season is already getting started with the hunt for Vietnamese heritage players. With the goal of having more qualified players to return and play in Viet Nam in 2019, VBA will welcome the talents all over the globe.

If you want to compete at the highest level of basketball and create your own legacy in your hometown – Viet Nam, then this is your chance. Contestants only need to submit your information and your videos. If you have what it takes to become the new face of your team and VBA, we will contact you!
