HA NOI — Viet Nam U19 beat Meizhou Meixian Techand from China 6-0 in a friendly on Monday.
Viet Nam were already 5-0 up at half time, before coach Hoang Anh Tuan decided to ring the changes to test his squad.
The two teams will meet again today, and on June 24 Viet Nam will face Evergrande.
Viet Nam are training in China to prepare for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) U19 Championship in Indonesia on July 2-14.
At the regional championships, Viet Nam are in Group A with Thailand, Singapore, Laos, the Philippines and the hosts. Group B sees Malaysia, Myanmar, East Timor, Cambodia and Brunei facing off. — VNS
