Egg coffee


with Chef Nguyễn Thị Kim Bình from Luk Lak Restaurant

Ingredients: For one serving

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 30-40ml black coffee
  • Cocoa powder, to garnish


  • Put egg yolks, sugar, and honey in a bowl. With an electric hand mixer, beat the yolks at low speed for 1 minute until well blended, then turn to high speed until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Pour the egg cream into a cup, then pour the black coffee over. Sprinkle with cocoa powder as desired.
  • This treat should be served right away for the best quality. Dark roasted Vietnamese robusta coffee gives the most balanced taste and flavour.
