HÀ NỘI — The BritCham Charity Fun Run will be back after two years away because of the pandemic.
The annual event of the British Chamber of Commerce Việt Nam (BritCham) brings together the British, international and Vietnamese communities encouraging healthy living and most importantly raises funds for charities working in the country to help people in need.
This year, the run will be held on November 13 in Ecopark, an urban township in Hưng Yên Province on the outskirts of Hà Nội.
Two weeks later, another run will be organised at the Sa La Township in HCM City.
Athletes are recommended to dress up as your favourite characters, or wear fun and cute costumes to take part in the 5km race.
The organisers will create a family friendly morning packed full of fun, running/walking, activities, a lucky draw, and music along with food and drink.
The first BritCham Charity Fun Run was held in 2000 and has continued until now. For the last 21 years, it has been one of the biggest charity events in Việt Nam.
The organisers have welcomed more than 130,000 runners and raised more than VNĐ12 billion (US$483,000). Over 90 sponsors have helped BritCham maximise the support given to the chosen charities.
The 2022 run will have two types of tickets. The standard one at VNĐ200,000 ($8) and kids’ tickets at VNĐ120,000 ($4.8) for children under 12.
Individual runners or organisations who wish to run, can register through https://britchamvn.glueup.com/event/hanoi-fun-run-2022-63815/ or contact Trang Nguyen at trang.nguyen@britchamvn.com and call 02471014064. — VNS
