THỪA THIÊN HUẾ — The Huế Monuments Conservation Centre has unveiled a new virtual reality setup, allowing visitors to explore virtual things at designated spots throughout the Huế Imperial Citadel tour using glasses and a sound system.
This virtual reality experience service is an upgraded version, using XR glasses and AR Photo Kiosk service, developed from the virtual reality service "Finding the lost Palace" provided by the Huế Monuments Conservation Centre and Joint Stock Company IV COM.
Visitors wearing XR glasses can view XR content at certain spots during their tour of the citadel and see rebuilt images of the ancient palace.
As part of the launch, a new electronic ticketing system was introduced, which promises to be an effective solution to improve the operation of the Centre as well as create a more convenient experience for guests.
According to Hoàng Việt Trung, director of the Huế Monuments Conservation Centre, the installation of the e-ticket system simplifies operating processes, speeds up transactions, and raises the level of customer care that is provided to tourists.
Trung believes that the centre's ability to analyse and synthesise data from the e-ticket system will allow it to better serve its customers, predict trends in the tourism market, boost the efficiency of its management activities, and encourage the province's tourism sector to embrace digital transformation.
Huế Monuments Conservation Centre, charged with managing, preserving, and developing the national treasure of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, identifies the use of digital technology as one of the important tasks that should be promoted in the future, in order to contribute to raising the level of outstanding global cultural heritage values recognised by UNESCO.
Visitors to the former imperial capital of Huế are guaranteed a wide variety of brand-new and incredibly appealing activities now that the citadel's electronic ticketing system and its virtual reality experience have been introduced. VNS
