HCM CITY — More than 140 pictures by 93 photographers from across the country are on display at the 2023 HCM City Art Photo Festival, which has opened at the city photography association.
The photos are divided into three categories of freestyle, black-and-white, and composite photography.
They feature a wide range of topics such as portrait, landscape, lifestyle, nature, and the country’s achievements in all fields.
All pictures reflect the photographers’ creativity and humanity.
The festival was launched by the association in June, receiving 3,855 entries from 333 photographers from 45 provinces and cities nationwide over one month.
The organiser awarded first prize in freestyle category to the photo titled “Việt Nam – Điểm Đến Của Những Du Thuyền” (Việt Nam – A Cruise Destination) by Đỗ Tuấn Hùng, a policeman from the coastal province of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu.
The first prize in the black-and-white category was given to the photo “Lão Ngư” (An Old Fisherman) by Nguyễn Vũ Hậu from the northern province of Phú Thọ.
Trương Minh Nhựt from the Cửu Long (Mekong) Delta Province of Tiền Giang won the first prize in composite photography with the photo “Nghiện Game Tàn Phá Tương Lai” (Video Game Addiction Destroys Life).
The exhibition lasts until September 30. The association is at 122 Sương Nguyệt Ánh Street in District 1. — VNS
