HCM CITY — Veteran artist Dương Sen is holding the painting exhibition “The Resonance of Remembrance” at Vy Gallery.

The exhibition showcases four large-scale lacquer works and an oil painting depicting events about the national resistance against the US.

The works also highlight the solidarity of the country to gain independence, and the value of peace.

Sen, 74, is famous for abstract and semi-abstract paintings in traditional lacquer. In 2014, he began painting landscapes in oil.

His paintings are on display in many museums in Việt Nam, and also in other countries like the US, France, Japan and Singapore.

The exhibition can be viewed from 10am-8pm daily until May 15. The gallery is at 20 Nguyễn Văn Thủ Street in District 1.  VNS
