The Hà Nội Media Association in collaboration with related units organised the festival with the aim to introduce and promote the unique cultural features of Việt Nam and the Republic of Korea to the residents of the capital through cultural, artistic and culinary activities. It also aims to strengthen the cultural and commercial relationship between the two countries.
Việt Nam - Korea Food and Culture Festival is a great chance for anyone who loves South Korea to explore the country's culture and cuisine.
Professors and students from six universities in Gyeongbuk Province will join the festival, including Andong National University, Kyungwoon University, Kyungil University, Daegu University, Daegu Hanny University, Yeungnam University, and Jeju Tourism University from Jeju Province.
North Gyeongsang Province is home of Korea's traditional culture with numerous hundred-year-old villages, well-known landmarks and unique traditional cultural festivals. North Gyeongsang is also known as a "museum without a roof", with various UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the National Buddhist Temple, Seokguram Cave and Changdeokgung Palace.
This year, the festival also features 14 companies in the fields of food, cosmetics and content production.
Along with culinary activities, many recreational activities will be held including the Talent search contest "Cultural colours of Việt Nam - Korea", and Việt Nam - Korea children's fashion show.
300 people are also expected to join a flashmob dance to the song Flower by BLACKPINK member Jisoo.
Citizens in Hà Nội will also have an opportunity to try on Hanbook costumes and participate in Korean and Vietnamese folk games. – VNS.
