KHÁNH HÒA - Nha Trang City is expected to attract a large number of tourists during the National Day (September 2) holidays with its range of beach tourism activities.
Attractions such as VinWonders and Vinpearl Harbour Nha Trang on Hòn Tre Island are popular tourist attractions as are puppet shows at Đó Theatre, the Ana Maria Marina, island tours in Nha Trang Bay, and spots such as Ponagar Tower and the Oceanographic Museum.
Champa Island Nha Trang will host a lantern festival on the Cái River, featuring a buffet, music performances and release of lanterns to wish for happiness.
Nearby districts like Ninh Hòa, Diên Khánh, Cam Ranh, and Khánh Sơn are also preparing to welcome visitors with eco-tourism and green tourism sites.
Nguyễn Thị Lệ Thanh, director of the province Department of Tourism, said tourism business have been warned to follow regulations on pricing, service quality, security, food safety, and environmental cleanliness.
Võ Quang Hoàng, Chairman of the Khánh Hòa Hotel Association, expected domestic tourist numbers to increase during National Day and international visitor numbers to remain steady, leading to higher hotel and resort occupancy rates than in previous years.
Hotels in the Bãi Dài (Cam Ranh) area are 70-80 per cent full between August 31 and September 3. In Nha Trang, the rate is 60 per cent.
