NINH BÌNH -- More than 70 international beauty contestants will take part in a fashion show entitled Hello Cosmo from Việt Nam at the Tràng An Landscape Complex, UNESCO World Heritage, in mid-September.
It is one of the activities of the Miss Cosmo 2024 beauty contest which will be held for the first time in Việt Nam by Unicorp, the company that owned the copyright and successfully organised Miss Universe Việt Nam in the last 15 years.
Miss Universe Việt Nam 2023 Bùi Thị Xuân Hạnh will be the host representative at the one-month contest.

It is expected that beautiful contestants from more than 70 countries and regions will land in HCM City for the Grand Finale in late September.
Many activities will be held during the contest. Among them is a series of vibrant festivals and cultural performances -- Vivid Việt Nam -- in different provinces and cities.
The first one, Cosmo Hello from Việt Nam fashion show, is considered a warm, goodwill greeting from the Miss Cosmo organisation and the host country to the world, according to organisers.
Contestants will perform clothes and dresses in the Le Thanh Hoa Fall - Winter 24 collection which reflects a flow of Vietnamese culture blending with majestic natural beauty.
Designer Lê Thanh Hòa is known for his effort to bring Vietnamese cultural beauty into each design and his accompany with traditional craft villages. Typically, silk from Mã Châu Village (Quảng Nam) are main materials to many designs as a way to honour and preserve Vietnamese cultural values.
"Familiar images of rice plants, lotus flowers, mountains and the colourful natural scenery of Ninh Bình are fully recreated on my special designs which combine eye-catching forms, intersting patterns, hand embroidery technique and unique material processing," said Hòa.
"Each design is not simply a costume but also contains a story that links the past and the future. It is a way to preserve and bring traditional values into a new, modern and trendy context.
"Through this collection, I wants to honour the cultural beauty, traditional craft villages and landscapes of Việt Nam, creating Vietnamese outfits that follow the world fashion trends."

In addition to the fashion show, contestants also experience a series of exciting welcoming, cultural exchange and heritage promotion activities. It is to popularise the image, country, people and tourism of Việt Nam to the world.
Organisers said Tràng An is an intact chronicle of environmental change and human responses in the past, preserving the residential tradition of prehistoric people. The process of terrain change, geology and geomorphology spanning millions of years creates the beautiful natural landscape of this place.
Khê Cốc Island in Tràng An is a place that recreates the cultural living space of ancient residents. Choosing Khê Cốc as the venue for the show is an idea to affirm the long-standing value of proud Vietnamese culture and history.
After Ninh Bình, many other activities will be held including Best of Việt Nam Festival in Lâm Đồng Province and Best of the World Festival 2024 in HCM City. VNS
