HCM CITY – The third Saigon Chess Club Tournament is set to take place at the prestigious Sofitel Saigon Plaza on August 31.
This year, the tournament will feature up to 70 players, a substantial increase compared to last year, divided into three groups based on their ELO ratings, beginners, intermediates and masters.
Participants will compete in a six-round rapid 15+0 chess format, adhering to the Swiss scoring system, ensuring a fair and thrilling competition for all skill levels.
The Saigon Chess Club continues its tradition of merging the intellectual challenge of chess with the elegance of a five-star setting.
The aim of the club is to cultivate a beautiful lifestyle and a sophisticated community around the game.
Winners will be awarded exclusive prizes, adding an extra layer of indulgence to their victory.
The Saigon Chess Club (as well as it’s other branch - Hà Nội Chess Club) is more than just a chess community, it is a lifestyle. Club managers believe that chess transcends borders and brings people together.
The club is a place where enthusiasts can meet, forge new connections and engage in friendly banter over the chessboard.
Whether someone is a beginner, advanced or a professional chess player, there is always a friendly community and elegant setup to welcome everyone no matter chess skills, background and nationality. VNS
