BÁT XÁT — A running tournament will be held on the Pavie ancient stone road in Bát Xát District, Lào Cai Province in October.
The event is part of the Bát Xát Autumn Festival 2024 activities organised by Bát Xát District. This is the first time this event has been held there and promises to be an attractive activity that combines sports and cultural heritage conservation.
Runners will compete on routes that pass through important areas of the Pavie ancient stone road, a valuable archaeological site in Việt Nam.
The Pavie ancient stone road was built by French researcher Auguste Pavie in 1920 and took seven years to complete. Now, the road is only 17km long, connecting Bát Xát District in Lào Cai Province and Phong Thổ District in Lai Châu Province. VNS
