ĐÀ NẴNG — Nearly 8,000 runners will be racing in the first ever VNExpress Marathon Đà Nẵng Midnight, starting the 42km and 21km river track from 2am and 2.30am on July 14.
The race’s organisers said full-marathon and half-marathon runners will be the earliest competitors, gathering at the starting point from midnight.
The 42km and 21km track will depart from Tiên Sơn Sports Centre on Phan Đăng Lưu street and winding through Trần Thị Lý and Thuận Phước bridges and coastal Nguyễn Tất Thành street.
Two more categories – 10km and 5km – will see runners beginning their race on the Hàn River’s Bạch Đằng street at 4.15am and 5am, respectively.
Runners will take chance to explore the beauty of river and beach of Đà Nẵng as well as iconic bridges on the track.
Đà Nẵng is an ideal destination for major marathon races, including the annual Manulife Đà Nẵng International Marathon and Ironman 70.3 Việt Nam.
