HÀ NỘI — Thể Công Viettel Club have announced the successful recruitment of two foreign players, midfielder Wesley Nata and striker Amarildo.
Wesley Nata is a player who operates in the central midfield position. He is highly appreciated for his strong yet technical playing style. Notably, Nata participated in the qualifying rounds of the three most prestigious European tournaments - the UEFA Europa Conference League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Champions League - while playing for Riga FC.
Before joining Thể Công Viettel, Nata had five years of experience playing in Europe for Tsarsko Selo (Bulgaria), Rodina Moscow (Russia) and Riga FC (Latvia).
Coach Đức Thắng said: "I am very impressed with Nata's creative ability on the football pitch. This is a preparation for Thể Công Viettel when Hoàng Đức decided not to stay."
Nata said: "The weather in Việt Nam is very hot right now, but I can adapt to this because I was born in Brazil. I am confident that I can play well even in the current weather. I am the type of player who plays for the team, always making the best decisions for the team on the field. My strength is the ability to pass the ball and shoot from a distance."
Striker Amarildo officially joined Thể Công Viettel.Club.
As for Amarildo, he mainly plays in Brazil's Serie B. However, with his good physique, physical strength and diverse finishing ability, the player born in 1999 promises to increase the attacking power of Thể Công Viettel.
Coach Thắng said: "Amarildo is also a quality player. We have checked and analysed him carefully before signing a contract with him. I think the selection and use of foreign players will play a key role for all teams next season."
Amarildo expressed his confidence, saying: "I am the type of player who likes to play with ball control, strength and speed. I want to score, assist or do anything to help the team. I am very eager to help Thể Công Viettel achieve their goals in the new season." VNS
