KHÁNH HOÀ — The coastal province of Khánh Hoà is encouraging people working and living in Việt Nam to take part in its souvenir design contest.
The contest aims to seek signature designs to become gifts for local and international visitors and diplomats.
The products must highlight the province’s historical sites, landscapes, and cultural heritage such as the Ponagar Temple Tower, a Chăm architectural complex of temples and towers built in the mid-eighth century; the Trầm Hương (Agarwood) Tower located in the centre of Nha Trang City; and the sovereignty landmark built on Trường Sa (Spratly) Island.
They must also be high quality and durable and made of environmentally friendly materials.
Contestants can send their entries to the Khánh Hoà Province Tourism Promotion Centre at 61 Yersin Street in Nha Trang City by September 30.
The organiser will give one first prize worth VNĐ40 million (US$1,570), one second prize worth VNĐ32 million, and one third prize worth VNĐ24 million.
The contest’s award ceremony will be held in October in Nha Trang City.
Khánh Hoà hosted a contest for designing souvenirs last October.
However, after four months, the contest was cancelled because the works did not meet the organiser’s requirements. — VNS
