HA NOI — Thu Hien, an acrobat of the HCM City Circus Troupe, has won two prizes, "Young Talent" and "Impressive Image" at the Figueres International Circus Festival held early this month in Spain.

The Figueres festival is organised annually for performers who haven't participated at any circus festivals in Europe. This year's festival gathered more than 60 performers from 12 countries and territories.

Two others of the troupe, Giang Quoc Co and Giang Quoc Nghiep, won a Silver Bear prize at the 2012 International Circus Festival in Izhevsk, Russia, for an acrobatic piece named Power of the Arms.

The prestigious festival held last week gathered 300 performers from 14 countries and territories. The Golden Bear went to a Russian troupe.-VNS
