The cost of broadcasting rights will be raised to VND10 billion (US$476,000) per year after a meeting between officials of the Audio Vision Global Company (AVG), Viet Nam Television (VTV) and the Viet Nam Television Corporation (VTC) yesterday in Ha Noi.
The three sides, who have previously collaborated on football television programmes, decided that they should pay the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) more than the VND6 billion per year agreed upon in 2010.
VTV will host 40 per cent of football matches, including the V-League, the V-League 1, the National Women's Football Championship, the National Under-19 Football Championship and matches of the national men's football teams.
The AVG and the VTC will share the rest equally and then pay VFF based on their percentage.-VNS
