HCM CITY (VNS) — Antigone Rising, an all-female alternative rock band from New York, will offer free concerts in HCM City and Nha Trang next week.
The four-piece band will perform at HCM City's Lan Anh Club on July 8 and at Nha Trang City's 2/4 Square on July 12.
They will also participate in master classes and community outreach in both cities and Can Tho City during their trip in Viet Nam from July 7 to 13.
Antigone Rising, comprising Kristen and Cathy Henderson, Dena Tauriello and Nini Camps, was formed in 2005. Their debut album titled From the Ground Up was in the top 20 of the US Billboard Heatseekers chart for most of the year of 2005.
They have gone on tour with international acclaimed music groups and artists like The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Allman Brothers, The Bangles and Rob Thomas.
The concert is part of a series of activities organised by the US Consulate General in HCM City to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the normalisation of diplomatic relations between the US and Viet Nam.
