Veteran cyclist Do Tuan Anh yesterday secured the second stage win of the Mekong Delta Cycling Tour.

The athlete of Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap 1 won the 128km stage from Tra Vinh City to Lap Vo District of Dong Thap Province with a time of 2hr 54.28min.

Nguyen Thanh Tam of Hat Ngoc Troi Rice came second, ahead of Tran Van Quyen of Military Zone 7.

Quyen with total time of 4:32.26 after two stages scrambled the yellow jersey from Le Van Duan of HCM City who dropped to second. Anh entered the top three, setting at third position.

Despite losing his leading role Duan scored 38 points to lead the race to the green jersey.

In the team's ranking, HCM City were on top, followed by Hat Ngoc Troi Rice and ADC-Vinh Long Television.

The third stage today will see cyclist tour from Long Xuyen City to Ha Tien Town on 148km.— VNS
