HAI PHONG (VNS)— The northern coastal city of Hai Phong will welcome eight foreign art troupes to the Red River Delta Tourism Week next Saturday.
Troupes from Japan, South Korea, Russia, India, China, Laos and Russia will take part in street carnivals and art performances.
The tourism week will run until May 18 and feature 30 diverse cultural activities including a street carnival, tourism and gastronomy fairs, fireworks performances, photo workshops and sports competitions.
According to Le Khac Nam, deputy chairman of the Hai Phong's People's Committee, the event would cost up to VND44 billion (US$2.2 million), half of which would be financed by the committee.
The rest will be sponsored by domestic enterprises. — VNS
