HCM CITY  (VNS) — Vu Artem of Binh Duong will play Ha Noi representative Trinh Linh Giang in the semi-final match of the National Top Tennis Players Tournament in HCM City today.

Aterm won over his teammate Nguyen Van Phuong as the 14-year-old retired in the third set when the result was 6-4, 4-6, 1-1 in Group B.

In another match of the group, host Lam Quang Tri beat Nguyen Hoang Hai of Binh Duong 6-1, 6-2.

Tri will face Group A's leader Pham Minh Tuan in the second semi-final.

Tuan from Da Nang yesterday beat Giang 6-3, 6-3. Both of them entered the next round.

On the women's side, 13-year-old Lian Tran representing the Viet Nam Tennis Federation will play Tran Thi Tam Hao of the host in the semi-finals.

The other match will see a clash between Huynh Phi Khanh and Si Boi Ngoc, both of HCM City. — VNS
