Abstract: Paintings by local artists are on show for the public in Hue.

THUA THIEN-HUE (VNS)— Hue artists are displaying their outstanding works in a 2013 year-end exhibition.

A total of 62 paintings, using different materials and styles by 57 artists based in Hue, are on show at the New Space Art Foundation.

According to artist Dang Mau Tuu, chairman of the local Union of Arts and Literature Associations in Hue, the works reflect artistic labours of local artists, including many young painters.

While veteran artists show deeper philosophy in their paintings, the younger artists have succeeded in finding their own art style, he said, adding that "it is a good sign for the development of art on Hue."

Most works displayed the exhibition are being seen for the first time in Hue. They are expected to gain much praise from local residents for their art value.

However, the exhibition closes at the end of today, after being open for public viewing. The exhibition is at 15 Le Loi Street, Hue City. — VNS
