HA NOI (VNS) — The Viet Nam Association of Fine Arts has put on show 300 artworks on to celebrate the lunar Year of the Snake.
The exhibition of artworks by members of Ha Noi and neighbouring provinces helped summarise the association’s achievement over the year, said chairman Tran Khanh Chuong.
“Due to the venue’s duration, we display small and medium artworks only to involve as many artists as possible,” he said.
“This is the very place where visitors enjoy different styles of leading artists, expressed in different materials, such as installation art, canvas, lacquer, acrylic and watercolour.”
The artworks featured the landscape, beauty of spring, people’s activities and portraits, and hadn’t been showcased before, he said.
The exhibition created an opportunity for painters to exchange and encouraged them to improve their skill.
It will run until February 21 at Exhibition House, 16 Ngo Quyen Street, Ha Noi. — VNS
