HA NOI (VNS) — Dinh Thi Thuy won a pencak silat bronze medal at the ongoing ASEAN University Games in Indonesia.
Thuy defeated Noor Amirah of Singapore with a final score of 5 – 0 in the women's Class E (65 – 70kg) match for the third place this morning at the Graha Serbaguna Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang.
The Vietnamese athletes are expected to win more medals from other sports competitions, including swimming and table tennis.
At present, Viet Nam has won 23 gold, eight silver and three bronze medals. They are currently at fourth place in the competition.
The top three countries are Indonesia (48 golds), Thailand (43 golds) and Malaysia (30 golds).
