The Asian Kiteboarding Championships, C2Sky Freestyle Raid KTA Viet Nam, will take place in the resort town of Mui Ne in the coastal central province of Binh Thuan until Sunday.

According to C2Sky Kitecenter, the local organiser of the event, nearly 100 kitesurfers will participate in the competition, the second round of KTA Tour Asia.

The competition will feature a freestyle raid, Old Skool for older riders and Big Air for high jumps.

Mui Ne which is known for its beaches and is considered the resort capital of Viet Nam is also a mecca for wind sports like kitesurfing and windsurfing. Dozens of kiteboard schools are located along its beaches. — VNS
