Viet Nam have 10 competitors at the 2013 World Games, held in Cali City, Colombia from July 25 to August 4.

They will compete in karate, billiards, archery, wushu and aerobic gymnastics.

Martial artist Nguyen Hoang Ngan was one of the first athletes invited to take part in the karate event.

The former world champion won a gold medal in kata (performance) at an open tournament in Germany last September. She also took gold medal at the World Games in 2009.

In aerobic gymnastics, Vu Ba Dong, Tran Thu Ha and Nguyen Tien Phuong will all compete in the men's singles, mixed doubles and trio event.

The Vietnamese team also have one player in carom billiards, one in archery and four in wushu.

In the 2009 Games, Viet Nam came 38th out of the 105 teams.-VNS
