NHA TRANG — The Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel&Spa is selling Check Out for Children T-shirts to its guests as part of an ongoing fundraising campaign to help vulnerable children.
The hotel said in a press release on Thursday that those who purchase the T-shirts for VND150,000 (US$7) each will receive complementary yoga classes on the beach.
The two-and-a-half month campaign that ends on September 30 is part of the UNICEF Check Out for Children Challenge, a staff fund raising competition between hotels managed by the Starwood Hotels and Resorts group that has been held since 2003.
Guests can also contact the hotel to make further donations if they wish.
This year, the hotel organised a flashmob on the beach that drew about 100 in-house guests, staff and local residents who danced to the tune of famous summer dance hits.
The press release noted that UNICEF and Starwood Hotels and Resorts have been collaborating for 16 years in raising funds for vulnerable children and raised almost $8 million thus far.-VNS
