HCM CITY (VNS)— The Eximbank V-League 15th round is expected to reset the race for the four top title contenders as they are favourites in upcoming games.

Defending champions SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Ha Noi T&T, which are the top four teams on the ranking table, are considered favourites over their opponents in the 15th-round fixtures this weekend.

Da Nang will take on Dong Nai today at Chi Lang stadium in Da Nang with a win being within their ability.

Although young coach Le Huynh Duc's Da Nang had some luck in recent games, Da Nang are still a notch above the visitors.

Also today, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, which have not lost any games at home this season, are expected to continue this impressive record as its opponent, Hai Phong, are not in fine fettle, winning just two points from the maximum of 15 points.

Kien Giang's fans will probably not see the team's losing streak ending soon as they will have to travel to Thanh Hoa stadium, where they will face a tough home team, who are now in the top five.

Tomorrow, Song Lam Nghe An will travel to Ninh Binh full of confidence after the club last week ended their winning drought by demolishing Long An 8-0, the biggest-margin victory so far.

Among the big four, Ha Noi T&T are thought of facing its toughest rival as they will take on in-form Xuan Thanh Sai Gon at Hang Day stadium in Ha Noi. Xuan Thanh are making a strong comeback, winning 10 points out of five games.

With one point separating two teams, third-from-bottom Binh Duong and bottom-ranked Long An will lock horns in a game considered to be the bottom-of-the-table battle in which the losing team will prop up the table. — VNS
