Binh Dien Long An will represent Viet Nam at the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on April 21-29.

The annual championship has attracted nine teams.

The Vietnamese club is in Group A alongside Japan, Iran, Thailand and Myanmar.

Meanwhile, Group B consists of China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan.

The nine-day tournament will also serve as the Asian qualifying round for the FIVB World Club Volleyball Championship later this year in Qatar.

Only the winning team will secure a berth, with Thailand favourites to defend their crown on home turf.

The pool round-robin preliminaries kick off on Saturday, with Malaysia taking on Sri Lanka. Other matches on opening day are Viet Nam-Myanmar, Kazakhstan-China and Japan-Thailand.
