HA NOI (VNS) — Becamex Binh Duong are in Group E after a draw of the Asian Football Confederation's Champions League tournament held yesterday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Viet Nam champions are to play Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea, Jiangsu Sainty of China and a club which will qualify from the play-off round to be held next February.
Among them, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motor, the K-League winners, is the strongest team with several players being members of the national squad, such as Lee Ho, Lee Keun-ho and captain, Lee Dong-gook.
Jiangsu Sainty took the Chinese Cup in 2015 but just ranks ninth out of 16 teams in their national championship.
There are seven other groups with three qualified participants and one to be decided after the February competition. — VNS
