HA NOI – The Binh Duong Billiards Three-cushion Open will be held at the Lucky Square Convention Centre in Binh Duong Province on August 15-18.

The event has lured 48 local and four foreign competitors who will compete for VND15 million (US$700), a record for a tournament held in Viet Nam.

This year, organisers said the title favourites were national champion Tran Dinh Nai, former champions Truong Quang Hao and Ma Xuan Cuong, and Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, semi-finalists in July's Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in South Korea.

TV stations Binh Duong, Viettel and AVG will broadcast the matches live. – VNS
