HA NOI (VNS) — Striker Nguyen Anh Duc scored a double in Becamex Binh Duong's 4-1 win over Myanmar champions Ayeyawadi United yesterday in Binh Duong Province.
The win meant that the host team triumphed in the four-side Mekong Football Championship at Go Dau Stadium.
Binh Duong's newcomer Ganiyu Bolayi Oseni opened the result early in the first half but the visitors needed only four minutes to level the score thanks to Thiha Zaw.
Duc marked his presence in the added time of the first half and made it 3-1 with a header for the V-League winner in the 67th minute.
He was later voted best player of the tournament and was awarded US$3,000.
National midfielder Le Tan Tai tied the final result at the 75th mark.
They pocketed US$75,000 for the title.
Phnom Penh Crown of Cambodia took third place. — VNS
