HCM CITY (VNS) — Hosts Binh Duong Environment and Water Supply-Drainage won the fifth stage of the team's time trial event at the International Women's Cycling tournament yesterday.
They finished the 16.5km distance along Nha Trang City beach road with a best timing of 23 minutes and 7.54 seconds, reaching an average speed of 42.826km per hour.
Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang stood second, followed by Kazakhstan.
Supuksorn Nuntana of Thailand kept the yellow jersey with a time of 9 hours 10 minutes and 32 seconds. Cao Thi Cam Le of Binh Duong and teammate Cao Thi Thuy Trang came in second and third, respectively.
Domesco Dong Thap dominated the tour with a timing of 26 hours 47 minutes and 29 seconds, Thailand was close behind with 26 hours 49 minutes and 54 seconds and Binh Duong came in third with 26 hours 50 minutes and 30 seconds.
Today, the sixth stage will be held from Nha Trang to Phan Rang-Thap Cham City over a stretch of 96km. — VNS
