Binh Thuan saw off a challenging field to come out on top at the National Dragon Boat Racing Tournament which ended yesterday in Kien Giang Province.

The champions won six golds and one bronze medal, while An Giang finished second with five golds, three silvers and three bronzes. Can Tho came third after claiming two golds, six silvers and six bronzes.

More than 360 athletes, from 13 cities and provinces, competed over the 18 events.

The tournament was one of many activites held nationwide to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Liberation Day on April 30.-VNS
