BÌNH THUẬN - An exhibition titled “The Life and Career of President Hồ Chí Minh” opened in Bình Thuận Province on September 10 to mark National Day.
Organised in Liên Hương Town by the local Ho Chi Minh Museum, Bình Thuận Library and Lê Văn Tám Secondary School, it features over 130 black-and-white and colour photographs of events from the late president’s career and daily life besides some of his personal items.
The images include those showing him meeting with heroic delegates and exemplary soldiers in 1965 and tending vegetables in the Presidential Palace garden and feeding fish in a pond there in 1957.
Trần Minh Khoa, deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Bình Thuận, said the first such photo exhibition organized by the museum offers the public, especially young people, an opportunity to learn about and appreciate President Hồ Chí Minh’s distinguished life, respect his legacy and career and encourage young people to follow his example.
On the occasion, the organisers also launched a mobile library at Lê Văn Tám Secondary School and awarded 15 scholarships and gifted books about Hồ Chí Minh to local schools.
