HA NOI (VNS) — Vietnamese athletes brought home seven gold medals from the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships which wrapped up in Macau on Sunday.
In the last competition day, Tran Huu Duc overcame rivals from Thailand, Malaysia and Mongolia to win the men's 1.70m classic event.
His teammate, Nguyen Minh Tien, won in the men's 1.75m classic pool. It was a big jump for Tien in the continental competition as he only placed third last year.
Earlier, Tran Thi Cam Tu secured a double title when she took gold medals in the women's 1.55m fitness and 1.60m classic categories. Other winners were Nguyen Van Lam in the men's 65kg category, Dinh Kim Loan in the women's 49kg pool and Le Hoai Thuong in the men's 1.55m class.
The Vietnamese also pocketed silver and bronze medals which helped them finish at second place overall. — VNS
