HCM CITY ((VNS)  — Ten out of some 8,000 contestants from Can Tho City in Mekong Delta and HCM City have been chosen to enter the final round of Solo Cung Bolero (Performing Bolero Solo), a Vietnamese reality show highlighting the bolero, a style of Latin music that became popular in southern Viet Nam in the 1950s.

They will be trained by a vocal music teacher before every competition night.

The celebrated singer Le Thu said criteria for the choice include the voice, performing style, technique, and emotive delivery.
