DA NANG (VNS)– A collection of 80 antiques dating from the seventh to the 19th centuries are on display at Da Nang Museum.

The items outline the development of Buddhism in the central region, including statues of Buddha, Bodhisattvas (beings on path to enlightenment) and Arhats (enlightened beings) made from wood, stone and brass.

Most of the antiquities are still preserved in pagodas and are not from so-called "private" collections.

The exhibition closes on September 16. – VNS
