HA NOI (VNS)— Dance fever is set to sweep the nation, following the launch of an international street tournament with a cash prize of US$10,000 for the winners.
Open to shapeshifters aged 18 and above, Centaur Dance Showdown will be held across Asia before the grand final in Singapore, where the winning dance crew will receive the mammoth cash prize.
Auditions are currently taking place in India, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand while in Viet Nam, qualifying begins this month and ends in January. Hopefuls can sign up via the website www.centaurdance.com.
In Centaur Dance Showdown, each crew has five members who will perform various styles of free style dance, such as breaking, popping and locking. The jury of Centaur Dance Viet Nam consists of singer Ho Ngoc Ha and choreographers Viet Max and Ha Le.
The best Centaur Crew of Viet Nam will receive one week's training in HCM City under instruction of professional coaches. — VNS
