HCM CITY(VNS)— The Children's Culture House in HCM City warmed up with the spirit of summer with a Song and Dance Festival organised last week.

Performing at the annual festival were more than 1,000 young artists of 23 troupes from as many districts.

During the three-day festival, audiences were treated to great performances by the children, who sang patriotic songs as well as those expressing their love for teachers.

The child artists performed a total of 140 songs and dances at the festival.

"Years ago, only inner districts sent child artists to the festival," said musician Nguyen Van Hien, a member of the festival's organising committee.

"This year, children from suburban districts like Can Gio and Cu Chi contributed many beautiful songs and dances to the festival and their performances received warm applause from the young audience."-VNS
